Now, make sure your body is very comfortable.
If there are tension spots that came from dreams in the night,
breathe into those areas and let them go.
Feel how good it feels for your body to be supported where it is.
Feel the softness, the warmth, and the quiet around you.
And know that today will be a new day—
a kind of day you have not lived before.
You may have some plans for the day,
and you may know some of the things you will experience—
but not all of them.
When we awaken in the morning,
we never truly know how the day will end.
There are delightful surprises and gentle revelations waiting.
Your thoughts create your future.
Every thought you think is forming what comes next.
It does not matter what thoughts you used to think.
What matters now is the kind of thoughts
you are choosing in this very moment.
Together now,
let us release all fear and anxiety,
all anger and resentment,
all guilt and the need for punishment.
Let us dissolve sadness and jealousy.
Just let them go.
These are not the thoughts that create this new day.
This is a new day and a new beginning.
Now feel the air moving in and out of your body.
It is such a miracle, the way your body breathes itself.
The air moves into your lungs
and then joins your blood in the heart.
This oxygenated blood circulates through your entire body—
through veins, arteries, and into the capillaries—
nourishing every cell.
You do not need to control this.
There is an intelligence in your body that takes care of it for you.
It breathes your body.
It beats your heart.
It digests your food.
This intelligence enables you to see,
to walk,
to hold things,
to connect with others,
and to love.
There are so many miracles in your everyday life
that you may not pause to fully acknowledge.
Now, gently become aware of them.
Let us begin by appreciating the bed you slept in all night.
Think of how warm and supportive it felt
as you rested and dreamed.
Thank your bed.
Now bless the furniture in your space—
the chair, the sofa, the table—
all the objects that hold, support, and serve you.
Think of the quiet miracle of light in your home.
Think of the ways electricity assists your life.
Remember, these objects respond to the energy around them.
As relationships improve through loving attention,
so do the things we use every day.
Thank your refrigerator for preserving your food.
Thank your stove for helping you prepare meals.
Bless whatever is in your kitchen with appreciation.
Now think of the miracle of your bathroom—
something not even rulers and nobles
could take for granted until very recently.
Bless the plumbing that carries away waste with ease.
Bless the hot and cold water that comes with a turn of the hand.
Bless anything in your home
that connects you to comfort, to nourishment,
to rest, to light, to warmth,
and to communication.
Let gratitude open the way
for more to arrive gently, naturally, easily.
This day is new.
You are here in it.
Your thoughts are shaping where it goes.
Your emotions are signals you can choose to raise.
Your body is listening to your direction.
You are safe to begin.
You are free to create.
You are supported in ways seen and unseen.
